The Launchpad workshop was created to provide an opportunity for students to learn about UBC graduate programs in Physics & Astronomy, and to explore UBC lab facilities and research projects first-hand. The tours and information sessions were led by UBC grad students, staff, faculty and industry professionals.

Launchpad provided many take-home memories for our Summer 2022 participants, students, staff and faculty. From exploring labs and facilities around UBC campus (at the UBC Department of Physics & Astronomy, TRIUMF and SBQMI), to Graduate program workshops, sessions and socials, Launchpad participants were introduced to UBC Physics & Astronomy communities crossing academia and industry in multiple research areas.
